Oxford Biomaterials started life as Spinox. It is a development by Fritz Vollrath and David Knight of Oxford University. It uses their insight into the production and properties of natural silks to develop a variety of products, primarily in the field of medical implants.

Apaclara is the reincarnation of Nanomagnetics, but this time focussing of the use of novel nanotechnologies to provide drinking water.
